The Team

Amy Reiley, Publisher–As an “accidental” cookbook publisher, Amy took her experience and financial gains from her self-published, Fork Me, Spoon Me: the sensual cookbookand began producing a line of gift market cookbooks. Life of Reiley’s books have enjoyed success as award winners and best sellers. As a self-published author herself, Amy understands the needs and challenges specific to independent cookbook writers. Together with Deborah Daly and Annette Tomei, she has assembled a team to assist authors from recipe testing to affordable indexing, photography to impeccable design and, most importantly, sales, promotion and the keys to great distribution.

Deborah Daly, Art Director–Deborah held the title of art director for Thomas Nelson Publishers, Inc. and St. Martin’s Press in New York before moving to Los Angeles in 1986. She became art director for three more publishers in Los Angeles—most notably Jeremy P. Tarcher, Inc. She is the principal designer of Daly Design, a graphic design firm in Venice, California and the winner of numerous design awards, including two One Show gold medals. She is also the co-founder of the Santa Monica Mirror. Her fine art has been exhibited on both coasts, most recently at Sulkin/Secant Gallery at Bergamot Station, Santa Monica.

Annette Tomei, Director of Culinary Operations–One of the most highly educated educators in the culinary world, Annette holds degrees in finance, wine studies, culinary arts (French Culinary Institute, 1994) and a Master of Arts in Gastronomy (Le Cordon Bleu with The University of Adelaide). She also holds a professional certification in international spirits from WSET. She currently works as a culinary educator and freelance writer in NYC. As someone who has worn the hats of cooking instructor, caterer, restaurateur, journalist, researcher and chef throughout her successful career, Tomei understands the challenges both crafting and instructing original recipes.
